Hey I’m Tay! My journey into birthwork has gone a little something like this…

I went from planning a standard hospital birth for my first pregnancy (because that’s what everyone around me was doing, so why not?) to a first time mom who was terribly disappointed in her birth experience. This contributed to crippling anxiety & insecurity in my early season as a new mom.

After that, I decided to plan a homebirth for my second pregnancy - it was incredibly redeeming and I’ll never stop talking about the power I felt bringing a nearly 10lb baby into the world from the comfort of my own bed!

In between there, I participated in a couple of doula trainings which totally shifted the way that I view women’s bodies & birth. Then, I joined a doula mentorship that transformed how I interact with the women I surround myself with and how I show up for the families I serve.

Later on, I attended a Twin & Breech Homebirth Conference - this opened my heart to the dream of serving as a homebirth midwife in the future. In this current season, I’m focusing on the education aspect of my midwifery journey while I tend to my own small children at home. Someday, I’ll seek out an apprenticeship and pursue the path of the traditional midwife.

I’m on my way to becoming a certified Baby-Led Sleep and Well-Being Specialist. My services are rooted in attachment-based support that aims to help the entire family thrive. A flourishing nervous system is the goal for baby, mom, dad, and the older siblings!

I’m passionate about physiologic birth, breastfeeding, bedsharing, and other biological norms. I love childbirth education and informing the moms around me about their options. I believe that birth belongs to women - not the systems that interfere with birth outcomes. I host women’s circles at my home in the summer & fall months. I crave connection with my little family and the fabulous females in my life - I tend to prioritize these 2 groups when it comes to how I spend my time. I love to chat about all things birth, homeschooling, natural remedies, and normal childhood development - don’t hesitate to reach out for a gab sesh!
